Denali Borough School District Schools Do Not Close for Inclement Weather

The Denali Borough School District has a long established tradition of not closing school due to inclement (severe) weather.  The superintendent is authorized to suspend transportation services when temperatures are below -50 degrees or due to other adverse weather conditions

In the event that hazardous road conditions warrant cancellation of student bus service, the District and First Student will notify parents-guardians of the cancellation.  Students who are not able to get to school because of the cancellation of bus service will be given an excused absence.
